2. Finish this sentence - the smaller the Aperture __Opening_______, the higher the Aperture __F-Number__________.

3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field?
The aperture determines the background and how blurry is would look.
1. If you were assigned to shoot at Blue and Gold night, which was earlier this month, what shutter speeds (slow, medium, fast) do you think you would have to shoot at the following events that night I would like you to answer the question for the following two situations:
At the beginning while the sun is still partially up and the courtyard has reasonable light
medium
b.) the food eating contest
fast
c.) the rock climbing wall
slow
d.) someone working at a booth
slow
e.) the DJ/MC working at the middle of the circle
fast
f.) the Diamonds performance.
fast
Towards the end when there is no sun and it is dark so there is not enough light to see from one end of the courtyard to the other.

1. What are the advantages of shooting with a higher ISO setting at a sporting event like a night football game?
The advantages to shooting with a higher ISO at night are the it will allow more light to come into the photo since you'll need more light because its dark. 2. What suggestions did the author make about using a low ISO?
The author suggested to use low ISO when there is plenty of light or when it may be dim and you use a tripod.3. What suggestions did the author make about using a high ISO?
The author suggested to use high ISO when there is not enough light for the picture, so like shooting inside with no flash or super fast scenes. Now its your turn - tell me which ones look the best for:
F4- looks best at 1/125th of a second shutter speed. At F4 the background is very blurry.
F5.6- looks best at 1/60th of a second shutter speed. At F5.5 the background is still blurry but not as bad as the other aperture.
F8- looks best at 1/60th of a second shutter speed. At F8 the background is blurry.
F11- looks best at 1/60th of a second shutter speed. At F11 the background is still blurry but not too blurry.
F16- looks best at 1/30th of a second shutter speed. At F16 the background is coming into better focus than the other apertures.
F22- looks best at 1/15th of a second shutter speed. At F22 the background is in focus and looks well.At slower shutter speed, the subject is way more blurry than faster shutter speed. The photographer could use a tripod to help combat the problem.
Now its your turn at each F-stop tell me what the background looks like. Is it in focus or blurry?
Finally, what is happening to the subject (the people) at SLOW Shutter Speeds? What could the photographer do to help combat this problem?
What is the lowest Shutter Speed do you think a photographer can hand-hold the camera without a tripod?
The slowest shutter speed a photographer could use while holding the camera before needing a tripod is at 1/60th of a second.
